Dress Code & Dance Attire Guidelines at Elevé Performing Arts Center
At Elevé Performing Arts Center in Bloomington, MN, we take pride in helping dancers feel confident, prepared, and safe with proper dancewear. Our attire guidelines are tailored for each style—ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and more—supporting movement and enhancing focus in class. From leotards and tights to jazz shoes and street sneakers, every piece plays a part in creating a polished, distraction-free studio experience. Find detailed recommendations by dance style and age group, including required footwear and hair expectations. All required shoes are professionally sized and ordered directly through the studio. No denim is permitted, and all dancers should arrive with their hair pulled back and ready to dance.
Option One:
- Mini, Petite, and Junior- Black Leotard and Pink or Skin Tone Tight
- Teen, Senior Black Leotard and Black Tights.
- All ballet classes are required to wear pink ballet shoes.
- Hair in bun!
Option Two:
- Shorts, and solid color t-shirt
- Black Ballet Shoes
- Hair neat and out of face.
Required:
- All required shoes are sized and ordered through the studio.
- No denim is allowed in any class.
- Hair must be pulled back and secured away from the face.
